Cancellation, Changes & Participation Policy

At Tahoe Multisport, your safety and experience are our top priorities. To keep operations smooth and fair for all guests, the following policies apply to all tours, rentals, and retail sales.

1. Cancellations & Refunds

Tours & Guided Experiences

  • 7+ days before: Full refund.
  • 3–6 days before: 50% refund.
  • Within 48 hours or no-show: Non-refundable.

Rentals (E-Bikes, Paddleboards, Kayaks, Skis, Snowshoes)

  • 48+ hours before: Full refund.
  • Within 48 hours or no-show: Non-refundable.

Retail Purchases

  • Clothing & gear: Exchange or store credit within 14 days if unused and with tags.
  • Convenience items (snacks, sunscreen, etc.): Final sale.

Peek Protect

Guests may add Peek Protect at checkout. This optional booking insurance is managed by a third party (The Protect Group) and provides 100% refund for covered reasons. Claims must be submitted directly via the link in your booking confirmation. Refunds through Peek Protect are separate from Tahoe Multisport’s policies.

2. Amendments & Change Fees

We understand plans can shift. To keep our schedule fair and organized:

Tours

  • 48+ hours before departure: One free change. Additional changes or amendments (date/time/participants) incur a 10% fee of the booking total.
  • Within 48 hours of departure: Changes are not guaranteed. If possible, a 20% feeapplies. Otherwise, the booking follows the cancellation terms above.

Rentals

  • 24+ hours before pick-up: One free change. Additional changes incur a 10% fee of the booking total.
  • Same-day change requests: Subject to availability. If approved, a 20% fee applies.

Note: Fees are charged at the time of amendment. Peek Protect bookings are exempt, as those must be canceled and refunded directly through Protect Group.

3. Late Arrivals & Missed Tours

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
  • Tours depart promptly at the scheduled time for the safety and fairness of all guests.
  • Guests who arrive late and miss their tour are considered no-shows and are not refundable.
  • If space allows, we may reschedule you for a later departure the same day, but this is not guaranteed.

4. Weight & Equipment Limits

For your safety, all equipment has manufacturer weight limits:

  • Clear Kayaks: calm conditions: single person 285 or 350 lbs per boat, bumpy conditions single person 240 lbs, 300 lbs per boat.
  • E-Bikes:  Runner3+ 420 lbs 4’11”-6’2″ (150-188 cm), Wagon5 375 lbs 4’11”-6’3″ (150-190 cm) Rear Riders Total 120 lbs, Radster Trail 300 lbs 4’11”-6’2”, Trike 415 lbs, Kick 300 lbs 5’2″-6’1″
  • Stand-Up Paddleboards: 320 lbs per board

Guests exceeding posted limits may be unable to participate. In such cases, we will do our best to offer an alternative (different equipment/activity, store credit, or reschedule), but refunds are not guaranteed.

5. Weather & Safety

  • We operate rain or shine, but tours may be canceled or rescheduled in unsafe conditions (high winds, lightning, wildfire smoke, etc.).
  • If Tahoe Multisport cancels due to safety concerns, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
